HR Strategy

A large percentage of companies' costs are its people and it's key to ensure that this resource is used as effectively and efficiently as possible as you would for any other resource. However other resources do not have minds, needs and desires of their own and the 'Employer of Choice' takes that into account and makes it work for them.

We work with different sizes of organisations taking their Business Strategy/Goals/Objectives or even thoughts and ideas and help them to understand what the people implications are – what skills are needed, when are they needed, who is going to replace people promoted etc. We can then build and if needed deliver, a HR strategy covering:

  • Manpower planning – what skills and when
  • Succession planning
  • Recruitment and Selection
  • Training and Development – including induction
  • Employee Relations – including employee consultation, Unions, policies
  • Change management
  • Performance management – including setting objectives and appraising employees
  • Reward – how to pay and ‘reward’ people to attract, motivate and retain them
  • Exit management, i.e. how people leave whether through resignation or dismissal or retirement

We also work with companies where they require an HR Director to design, manage and deliver an effective HR strategy but don't need that resource on a full time basis – so we fulfil that role one day a week, or one day a month or whatever is appropriate.
