History

HISTORY

PES was launched in 2001 with the aim of helping other organisations to deal with their people issues; save money, improve performance and minimise risk. With only two clients at the start, PES remained true to its foundations and soon developed into a full-service employment solutions provider.

The company's reputation for a refreshing approach to consultancy and client relationships soon spread leading to growth in both clients and people, many of whom joined from larger firms.

Focusing it's expertise on the issues facing businesses when they employ staff, PES tailored a comprehensive offering to the needs of organisations large and small. The team's ability to implement solutions and provide ongoing support also proved popular to an ever-increasing client base.

Today, PES is a vibrant and rapidly growing business based in Bristol. Small companies, large businesses, local authorities and national enterprises alike, trust PES to help them reduce risk, remain compliant and gain a maximum return on their investment in people.

Each knows they can rely on PES to continue offering expert advice and support with their employment issues - whatever the future may hold.

Why PES?

WHY PES? BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE DOES IT LIKE US!

Typically a business in the UK can utilise up to 10 different service providers for employment support - at PES you can have it all in one place delivered in an integrated, cost effective way.

For example you may want to introduce a modern, online benefits solution to retain and attract quality staff needed to make your business thrive. Before PES, you would have had to find a technology provider; a HR specialist to deal with contractual changes; an employee benefits broker to source the benefits; maybe a childcare voucher provider; and an employment tax specialist to make sure all the tax and reporting aspects are considered.

Or you may have a question about how to employ somebody on a consultancy basis. At PES we will help you to understand the HR, employment law and tax risks all at the same time; and you only have to explain it once.

We understand that every business and organisation is different. So it makes good sense to seek professional advice from people who provide solutions as individual as you are.

But don't just take our word for it….see what our clients think.

And if you want to find out more about how we can help improve your performance, reduce your risk and save you money, get in touch today.

    Ian Rummels

    Managing Director PES

Ian spent 14 years at Ernst & Young (EY) as a senior consultant specializing in all aspects of PAYE/NIC consultancy. In 2001 he left EY to form PES with the intention of building, from scratch, a place where businesses could come and get a full range of integrated, top quality, practical support and advice on all employment issues - all from one place and at an affordable price.

Along the PES journey, Ian took PES into an AIM listed Group (Wyatt plc) in May 2004. Part of this was to identify and successfully acquire PES Employee Benefits (formerly TEBC) in August 2008. He also led Wyatt Group plc into further acquisitions.

In 2010, Ian led a buyout of PES and moved the business into the Benefex Group where it thrived. Ian was a Director on the Benefex Group Board and key figure in the development of the group. Ian, along with the rest of the board, made the decision to move PES out of the group in early 2011, whilst retaining a strong strategic and working partnership with Benefex.

Ian is now able to focus his time exclusively on applying his unique set of business experiences to help clients identify their HR and Reward needs and overseeing the delivery of PES solutions.
